We at Compassion UK are delighted to partner with Premier for their Gospel Awards. They’ve announced this year’s nominees and the exceptional lineup of performers who’ll take to the stage at their much-anticipated event on 21 September at London’s iconic Royal Festival Hall.
This year, Premier looks to celebrate the diverse and dynamic voices of UK Christian talent across ten categories, spotlighting both emerging artists and seasoned worship groups. Their nominees represent the very best of gospel music, promising an unforgettable night of inspiration and community.
– Best Male: Featuring artists like Reblah, Called Out, Limoblaze, Still Shadey, and Emmanuel Smith (the voice UK).
– Best Female (sponsored by Mercy Ships): Showcasing Annatoria, Asha Ellia, Becca Folkes, Sarah Teibo, and Naffymar.
– Best Newcomer (sponsored by The Tab – Open Vote): Introducing Eugy, Folabi Nuel, Imrhan, Kaye Marie, Si Knightly, and Adrian J Moore.
Among the stellar line-up of artists on the night is one person with an incredible story of God’s grace and power in his life. Kemi grew up in extreme poverty in Ethiopia. He was orphaned in his teens and close to despair. He says, “If it wasn’t for Compassion, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. The project workers from the church would come into my house and pray over me and encourage me. By God’s grace, I studied hard and I graduated from college.”
Not only that, God unlocked an incredible musical talent within him. We look forward to sharing more of Kemi’s story with you soon!
As sponsors for the Premier Gospel Awards, Compassion UK has a wonderful opportunity to grow awareness of our life-changing ministry – inspiring people to join us as part of a multiplying movement that empowers children and their families to overcome the barriers of poverty. Together, with the local church, we can share God’s love with people who are facing the hardest of circumstances.
