Compassion week at UCB

27 June

Thanks for praying for the children from Loolmotonyi Child Development Centre, Tanzania, during our UCB campaign week. We’re overjoyed to share that 131 waiting children from Loolmotonyi and other Compassion projects around the world have been united with a sponsor. Praise God for His provision for each and every one of these children.

Please pray the remaining waiting children from Loolmotonyi will be given the hope of a sponsor soon.

Today Compassion UK CEO, Justin Dowds, and Compassion graduate, Jane’, are sharing their passion for empowering children in poverty on UCB radio.

Please pray that UCB listeners will be moved to take action on behalf of vulnerable children. Lift up every child at Loolmotonyi Child Development Centre, Tanzania who is waiting for a sponsor.

Pray for Pastor Ezekial who leads the project partner church and has a huge heart for those in his community. “When I sleep, when I wake, when I visit my congregation members, I am just thinking, ‘How can I help them?”

All this week, our partners at UCB are sharing about the difference sponsorship makes. In April this year, 11-year-old Elliot and 10-year-old Emilie from the UK travelled to Tanzania to meet sponsored children Ana and Anold. As Elliot and Emilie tell their stories this Compassion week on UCB, please pray that many waiting children will be connected with a sponsor. 

We’re looking to support as many children as possible from a newly opened Compassion project in Loolmotonyi, Arusha, Tanzania. Children growing up in Loolmotonyi face many challenges: most adults in the area are unemployed or struggle to earn a living as day labourers or animal herders. 

Praise God, 19 children have already been linked with a sponsor. Please join us in praying that many more vulnerable children will be given hope this week.
