You can’t beat a good curry and a good joke. But authentic Indian curry and top quality comedy can be hard to come by. That’s why we’re excited to let you know about a fantastic opportunity for you, your church, your social group and more.
Compassion graduate, Jane’Alam Sheikh, and the editor of Sorted magazine and stand-up comedian, Steve Legg, are offering you a fantastic evening of entertainment, including a live curry cooking demonstration.
The Curry and Comedy show gives you two hours of fun, laughter, light-hearted banter, plus a live curry-cooking masterclass. You’ll also walk away with curry recipe cards so you can try making the authentic Indian curry at home.
During Curry and Comedy, Steve performs his laugh-out-loud, ever-popular “tricks and laughs” set. He is joined by Jane’ Alam, a Compassion graduate who demonstrates how to make his mum’s famous Chicken Kosha curry.
Whilst cooking, Jane’ shares his personal experience of Compassion child sponsorship. During his moving story, Jane’s explains how thanks to his sponsor, he was the very first child in a slum of 10,000 to go to school.
We’re inviting churches or individuals to host Curry & Comedy and treat their friends and family with an experience that will not just entertain, but inspire.
The Curry & Comedy show is on road throughout the year, and can be tailor-made to your preference. You can book the show for:
