Now, Bedarlin’s biggest dream is to graduate from college and buy a house for her mother – so she doesn’t need to worry when it rains. With support from Compassion’s Education Interventions, Bedarlin is working hard to make this dream a reality.
Bedarlin’s college tutors helped her to take an aptitude test to see which courses would best suit her. She was thrilled to discover that Physical Education was an option. “I used to play volleyball and loved running in my free time. I am passionate about everything that has to do with sports, and I also love teaching,” she says.
Bedarlin’s mother, Demetria, is hopeful that her daughter’s hard work at college will give her opportunities for a brighter future.
“Without the project, we would be poorer and live with less hope,” says Demetria. “With the help my daughter has received at the project, she has been able to take courses that I would never have been able to afford. Thanks to the project, she has been able to develop what God had already put in her.”
