We’re privileged to have a team of incredible volunteers, church speakers and supporters who sacrificially give their time and use their talents to advocate on behalf of children living in poverty. Each month, we want to celebrate the current initiatives they’re involved in. We’ll share how together we can be praying for this team of changemakers as they make a huge difference to the children and families Compassion serves.

November/December Prayer Focus Areas:

• Give thanks for all those who have completed our Volunteer Speaker training. Pray that God will strengthen and encourage these new speakers as they step out in faith to advocate for children living in poverty. Pray that God will bless them with confidence, peace and clarity as they give presentations.

• Pray for the comedy and music ‘Ladies’ Night’ Tour, which is happening in various locations across the UK this November. Give thanks for the amazing talents of Philippa Hanna and Jo Enright, and pray that as information about the work of Compassion is shared, many would want to become partner with us and see children released from poverty in Jesus’ name.

• Please pray for our upcoming Christmas events! Pray that God will be glorified, and that we can share faithfully be an encouragement to Christians as we celebrate Jesus’ birth. We pray many will want to partner with local churches around the world who are dedicated to empowering children and families within their communities.

• As we reflect on this last year with all its tumultuous world events, please join with us in thanking God for all the sponsorships we’ve seen. Give thanks for the many stories from our volunteers of how they’ve experienced God’s blessing through serving Him. We are so grateful for each one of our volunteers and pray they will enjoy peace and rest over Christmas.

• Our Volunteer Speakers. Join us in praying for our wonderful team of speakers, who share in churches across the UK. We are praying for them as they boldly step out in their God given giftings. As they bless and encourage churches; we pray that many children will be released from poverty.  

• Women’s Events! Please uphold our team in prayer as we partner with some amazing women’s events this year. We’re excited to be at; Braveheart, Luminous, Breath and Women Who Overcome. We are believing for some incredible testimonies, conversations and children’s lives to be changed!  

• Continued growth. As we continue to partner with and serve more churches here in the UK, expanding our reach and the message of hope; we pray that our volunteer team would continue to grow and flourish. We pray over every volunteer that God would bless them and equip them in all that they do, and that our teams would expand as we welcome new volunteers into the Compassion family!
