Parking:
We’re grateful to have approximately 65 parking bays at Compassion House. Please feel free to park in these on a first come first served basis.
You’ll notice a number of marked bays near the entrance of Compassion House. Some of these bays are reserved for visitors, and others are reserved for those who require easy access to the building – for example, if you have a disability or a temporary injury.
There are also a number of electric car charging bays. Feel free to use these, though please move your car at lunch when it’s fully charged so others can use the charging points too.

You’ll want Platform 1 for trains heading towards London. You can access this platform from the main entrance, but it’s easier to go through the car park if you’re coming from Compassion House.

The main entrance to Fleet Train Station has ticket machines, toilets, a taxi rank, a café and a nic waiting area.
Platform 2
The main entrance leads onto Platform 2, with trains heading towards Basingstoke and Southampton.

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can click ‘Forgot password?’ and the system will guide you through steps to restore your access. Please also note that the system is case-sensitive.
I’ve forgotten my email address
If you’ve forgotten your username/email address, it will be the email address you used to register your sponsorship with Compassion UK. Try clicking ‘Forgot username?’ in the first instance.
Once you have logged in, please visit the ‘Account Details’ page in myCompassion to change your login details to something personal and memorable.
I still can’t log in
If this doesn’t work and you’re unsure of the email address you registered with, please get in touch with our friendly team at 01932 836490 or by email at info@compassionuk.org, and they can help reset your account.

This is a donation to a fund rather than a personal gift to the child you sponsor. Our local church partners have identified which types of gifts would most benefit children, families or communities within their locality – so where one community may need chickens, another community may need mosquito nets.

Each gift meets a real need for children and families in poverty, as identified by our local church partners around the world. The gifts are chosen to empower children and families with resources, health and skills to overcome poverty, enabling them to thrive now and into the future.
For every season, Christmas, Birthdays and special occasions, you’ll find many thoughtful gifts that can help transform lives, such as clean water interventions and other eco-friendly gifts like solar power. Your generosity can mean better accessibility to healthcare and education and other opportunities that will help release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
In most cases, yes. Sometimes, however, our local project staff might agree with a family that they need another form of livestock for the same amount. In that case, we’d put your gift towards providing what suits the family best. Whatever charity gift you choose, we promise your money will go into the relevant type of project, whether agricultural or health, etc.

Gift selection and distribution will vary from community to community according to local circumstances and restrictions:
In many communities, especially in countries that continue to be severely impacted by COVID-19 and a rise in the cost of living, it’s likely that staff will prioritise gifts covering critical needs – for example, by selecting gifts like shoes or clothes rather than toys.
We want to ensure that your gifts benefit families and communities long-term. Ultimately, we want to enable communities to support themselves; we don’t want to encourage a culture of dependency on gifts. Also, we don’t want to overwhelm families or single them out for special treatment, which is why we limit the amount that can be sent.
If you’d like to make a large donation to support the work of Compassion, it’s best to get in touch with us directly, and we can suggest how your donation can make the greatest impact. We have a number of interventions, which supplement the work of our sponsorship programme, and could be the ideal way to ensure your gift makes a real and lasting difference.

Sponsored children can move from one Compassion project to another for a number of reasons. Families in poverty are often extremely mobile and a child may move to a new area because a parent is looking for work. Alternatively, sometimes Compassion will need to end a partnership with a church for integrity reasons or because a church no longer needs our help in ministering to children.
When a partnership with a local church ends, Compassion’s field office tries to ensure that as many children as possible are transferred to another project nearby. As Noel Pabiona, country director for the Philippines explains, every effort is made to give each child “a new Compassion home”.
This was the case for the children who were attending Charis Child Development Centre in the Philippines. After nine years of ministering to children, the partnership sadly had to come to an end. This left more than 100 children who were transferred to the nearby Kabalaka Child Development Centre. One of these children was 16-year-old Jhezzo.
Jhezzo is so grateful that she has been able to keep receiving support from the Compassion programme by moving project. She’s thrilled that although she will be given a new child number to reflect the number of her new Compassion project, she can still maintain a relationship with the same sponsor. This consistency has been so reassuring during a time of great change and transition.
“I’m happy to have my sponsor,” Jhezza explains. “She is a big help to me in many ways, including in my spiritual growth. Through sponsorship I can attend camps, special meetings, support groups and Bible studies. Having a sponsor gives opportunities to simple people like me.”
The project workers at Kabalaka Child Development Centre have made every effort to welcome Jhezzo and the other children. They even organised a special service where they sung the hymn “Welcome to the Family” and Reverend Salvador Parpa preached a message explaining ‘We are now one family’.
